On Wednesday evening, February 16, 2000, the Eastland Disaster Historical Society (EDHS) continued its partnership with the Museum of Science and Industry by co-hosting a cocktail/reception, a by-invitation-only event. The invitees were the twenty families who loaned their personal artifacts, stories, and photos to the exhibit. The evening concluded with all guests being thanked for their contributions, followed by a private showing of TITANIC: The Exhibition (including, of course, the Eastland Disaster exhibit).
