...the two brothers missed boarding... Grover James Brown (pictured above with his daughter Lillian) worked at Western Electric in accounting and later as an industrial engineer. He was planning to take his younger brother, Walter, on the Eastland excursion. However, Walter's train from Indiana (where he lived) was late arriving and the two brothers missed boarding the Eastland.
