Captain Joseph Lamoreaux
Captain Joseph Lamoreaux was born in French Canada. At the time of the Eastland Disaster, he was employed by the Great Lakes Towing Company and was captain of the tug Indiana. His tug arrived at the scene of the tragedy minutes after the Eastland capsized, and captain and crew assisted in the rescue and recovery efforts.
